11th April Opening Performnace

'In the shadow of young girls in blossoms' performance took place at Dom-Römer
U-Bahn station on the 11th April from 7 pm.
The performance was done by Beatrice Steimer (artist of the show) and Young Lee.
Considering the historical figure, Dom Cathedral as the parallel structure, two artists
gave out a piece of madeleine and a cup of magic potion (zaubertrank) to the public.
The meaning of madeleine  comes from Marcel Proust's novel 'In Search of the Lost Memories'.
The window display being situated underground also connects to the hidden memory and
possible alternative belief system.

In search of the infinite moment, Beatrice Steimer composes images of overbearing colorful layered sinfonesque occultations that merge time and events into a fugue of timeless infinity.

Working in different media comprising film performance photography and other media. Beatrice Steimer is deeply inspired by crosscultural phenomena travel ritual mythology and west coastism striving for authenticity transcendence by never sticking to a limited area of sources rather in search of the impossible, the truly miraculous the meta miraculous.

For NoMad, Beatrice Steimer will compose a set of images, to turn the display into an all encompassing spheric event, dissolving boarders, conventions, trying to transmit the search of true magic and the nectar of deathlessness.
Beatrice Steimer lives and works in Frankfurt.
